True Blood, A New School Year and Regina Spektor.

Although most people watch True Blood on Sundays at 8/9C on HBO, me and my family watch it Monday - Saturday (which ever is most convenient) at anytime between 7 p.m. to 9/10 p.m.. So, even though we missed last night's episode, we will watch it tonight! I can say that I am truthfully excited! The True Blood vampires are so much better than the Twilight vampires. Also, I am currently scouring my libraries for a copy of the first book in the Southern Vampire Mysteries, I think that is what they're called. They're the books that True Blood is so wonderfully based off of. Whenever I get the free time or chance to run over to my library I will do that!

So, I've been finishing up my summer work for the next year at school. Yay. (Please read that with dry sarcasm.) On Wednesday, the 26th, I have orientation for my sophomore year and then on Thursday, we have a 7-Period day, which is basically just like going through all of our classes, but they're 10-minute classes as apposed to however long our normal classes are. Then, for some odd, but blessed, reason we have no school on Friday! And then finally on Monday, the 31st, we begin the school year. It'll be nice to see all the people I've missed over the summer, even though I will miss the summer time.

From Friday the 21st to Saturday the 22nd, I had a sleepover with a few of my closest friends and we had a lot of fun! We watched Definitely, Maybe - which I've seen before, but it was still entertaining and then we just had a bunch of time to catch up with each other and basically re-cap the entire summer before school started. Then Saturday, we spent a good 4 hours shopping at the mall close by and even though we did get rained on for an hour and a half, or so, we still had a lot of fun! I bought two Regina Spektor CDs that I've been meaning to buy, Begin to Hope and Far. They're both really good and I'm beginning to learn the rest of the songs on the CDs, not just Fidelity, Better, Samson and Folding Chair! My favorites (not counting those mentioned previously of course) are On The Radio, Apres Moi, Wallet, 20 Years of Snow - fine okay, I really do like all of them, I won't list them.

Cheers,
Grace

Vikings vs. Redskins

So, my new white MacBook came in the mail yesterday! I'm using it and it's pretty awesome. I don't really have much to post... Oh well, I just found out that Brett Favre will probably be on the Vikings this season! Well, now I have a dilemma because I do love Brett Favre and Adrien Petersen (another Viking), I've pretty much committed myself as a Redskins fan. So when the Vikings and the Redskins play against each other... I don't know what I'll do.

That's the news :D

Fending off the jam monster

My new Macbook should be coming in the mail soon, I'm really excited. But for now, I'm using the netbook & I'm spreading straberry jam onto my toast. You know what I hate? Butter on toast. It is so disgusting - gak! Anyways, I thought an update is really in need and today was the day. I guess I'll do this chronologically?
Two weeks ago, my sister, my aunt & I went down to the Kennedy Center and saw probably the best musical ever: Spring Awakening! I really would like to rave on and on about it, but I feel I might bore you, so I'll just say one thing: It was fabulous & the tour cast (which I saw) is now in Chicago. Last week, I went for a 40-mile bike ride from a small outskirt town out of DC, to Georgetown and then down along the C & O Canal. And back! I was heavily burned but it was a good ride despite that. Then yesterday, I celebrated my grandparent's 55th wedding anniversary with a few of my family memebers and we went down to Assateague Island and had a lot of fun! We even saw a few ponies!

Queen Envy of the Kingdom of Jealousy from the Bowels of the FedEx Truck

Yep yep. Read the title.
So, Tuesday - I think that was it - June 16th: my sister, two of my cousins and two friends all went to see Jack's Mannequin and the Fray playing at Merriweather Post Pavilion in dear old Mary's land. Yes. I was enormously jealous of these five girls. However last night I did view an amazing spectacle of the human talents. I saw the Bolshoi Ballet Company's (out of Russia) production of the ballet Le Corsaire. Yes - I may have not seen one of my favorite bands (JM) play live (probably with crappy-last-minute tickets) but I did see a breath taking production of a show that was touching and funny at the same time. It was amazing!! Anyways yeah that's been my life for the last couple days. Also I slept at my sister's house in DC last night and was woken up twice last night randomly by her housemates. How interesting. Last Wednesday I recieved Sims 3 from the bowels of the FedEx truck. It's been pretty fun but I need to get a better computer to play it on unfortunately.

We're Attracting the Vampires

I think the Maryland towns by D.C. and the District itself are gonna be a breeding ground for the vampires. Yes. TrueBlood and the Twilight Series have finally gotten to my brain. But really, all this rain! All the time! Sexy Vampires better come on over!
Anyways, another update post. Other than the 'constant cover of rain' (there I go quoting Twilight) - I do like the rain - my eldest sister and I recently saw RENT in D.C. with the original broadway/movie actors of Roger and Mark: Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp!!! Needless to say, it was AMAZING. Go read the review in today's (May 29th) Style section of the Washington Post.
I think the rain is really a good time to listen to music. You have the ambient noise the rain makes and then your favorite Jack's Mannequin or Journey song playing in the background. What could go wrong?
Two days left of school!! Three exams left!! Two on Monday, one on Tuesday and then FINALLY! Summer time!
Yes I am excited.

.no day but today.

Just listening to music. Haven't posted in a while actually. Kinda sad I guess. Freshman year is winding down, next week is my last week and then I have exams.
So basically this is just an update post - I promise I will write more when I have the time!!

Much Needed Post

I decided to write a poem-

dreams are un-born wishes.
wishes are un-born actions.
actions are un-born people.
people are born.

your mind may speak differently.
but your heart will tell you what is true.

defy logic with emotions.
bind emotions with logic.

go with the flow.
be the rock within the river.
that breaks the waters flow.

step above what is expected.
of you to shock the world.

sing what you feel.
write what you feel.
draw what you feel.
art is based on.
what you feel.

love to live.
live to love.
don't take shit.
from anyone.

above all.
believe in yourself.
and in your most trusted.
and most loved.

Footloose

It's been a while.
Mom has arrived home from visiting Bridgey in Italy from February 26 through March 2. She had a lot of fun, but upon her arrival she has had a fever and today she stayed in bed.
If you are reading this Bridget- thank you so much for the gorgeous Italian skinny jeans... they fit!!

Anywho, the third quarter is going to end of March 13th, that's a Friday... AHH!
Miley-cat just broke a plate so there was some delay in my posting. Ooh! Three weeks ago I went to see some of my friends in their high school's production of Footloose!
It was awesome!

Composing, Apologies, Sickness, Dissapointment, Valentines

So, I haven't actually posted anything in a long while, not since January anyways. I decided that much is needed to be said so here goes:

Reviving Ophelia, Friday the 13th at 7:30 - Opening Night, we're all excited! Too bad I was sick in bed with a fever all day. I couldn't even star in the show that I had been working on since sometime in December. I was extremely angry about not being able to perform. There were only two nights that we would perform, Friday and Valentines' Day. Unfortunately I couldn't do the second performance either. But I was well enough to be some fun extra parts, like a First Grader and a Party Guest!

I really miss my sister Bridgey because she is awesome and she is Italy. My mom is going to visit her in Italy in March sometime and what really irks me is that I just discovered that I have off school the days that she is going. Grrr.

Anywhoo. Happy Be-Lated Valentines Day! I did nothing this Valentines Day but sit on the couch and try to get better. Later that night I managed to do the little extra roles in the play, but apart from that - I was sniffling and coughing and trying to recover. For this years' Valentines Day gifts, I am currently composing a piano piece for my friend Lexxy. It is going to be a little late since I started it on Thursday... But so far it's coming along nicely!

Peace, Love and Thanks for Reading!!

Two Things I Love About my Cats

1. Miley never holds grudges.
2. Zander is always loving.

Hmm, what do I mean by this?
Well, today is a good example for both of those things. First of all, Miley's wonderful trait:
Today, Miley decided to start chewing on my Dad's plants in the hallway and that is illegal for Miley! So I pull her away and tell her no. But moments later, she does it again. I pull her away again and hold her this time- telling her no but then, I lose my grip of her and she falls out of my arms in an awkward way. She landed on her paws - of course - but I still felt sorry, so I picked her up and brought her on my bed and she lay down & was purring in no time - proving her point that she doesn't hold grudges.
Which brings me to my second point, about Zander. I was playing with Miley and I decided to put her in the laundry basket that was by my bed. So I did and Zander was watching. I took her out after a little bit because I didn't think she really liked it in there. So I played with her on the bed for a little bit, but then I noticed something was in the laundry basket - it was Zander, looking absolutely cute in the laundry basket, impersonating Miley. I felt so bad that I hadn't been playing with him so I picked him up and they both purred together.

Yay!

The Inauguration!!

Hello!

So today I went to the Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America, Barack H. Obama!!
It was pretty amazing.
At 8 o'clock this morning me, my mother, my friend and her mother left my house on our bikes to arrive downtown around 9 o'clock and hand our bikes over to the WABA Bike Valet (thank you so much you amazing volunteers!!) So we bustled about to arrive on the Mall. We were positioned slightly behind and to the left of the Washington Monument and that's where we stood until we left. Our fifty people radius, our crowd, was the most amazing crowd to stand with!! I guess every single person there (except for the crazy religious people with the Trust Jesus signs) was amazing, however OUR crowd was hilarious!! There was a guy like a little ways away from our crowd who held up a bag. I said, "Put the bag down please!" Then a couple people around me started chanting, "Put the bag down! Put the bag down!" The entire group started chanting that, then finally he put it down. Another funny incident was when some random lady started waving this ginormous American flag with a unicorn on it and the word "Freedom" underneath. We all looked at each other and started chanting, "Put the flag down!" It was funny! Barack Obama's speech was inspiring to say the least. Aretha Franklin- amazing.
So after Obama was sworn in, everyone tried to get out at the same time- resulting in a human deadlock. We stood for about an hour enclosed by more people and Port-a-Potties. After a little bit a random guy with blue skinny jeans decided to jump up onto the Port-a-Johns! (Kudos to you Skinny J. Guy!) A few more people jumped up after him and the rest of the crowd simply asked what they saw: "People, trees, ya' know." were their responses. So after an hour of standing and occasionally moving, we got out and onto the street where we were once more at a slightly moving standstill.

Yes, that was a ton of fun! Good luck Barack Obama!!

Much love, thanks for reading,

Gracie

The Inaugural Concert

Today I went to the Inaugural Concert down at the mall with my mom. We rode our bikes about 16 miles (there and back) in the cold. It was really really fun. Bono, Beyonce, Shakira, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Pete Seeger, Joe Biden, Samuel L. Jackson, Rosario Dawson & Barack Obama were all there, along with several billion people!
It was so much fun!
Here are some photos!!

Kudos and Love - I am not a Hippie!

Today was my last day of exams and they were quite easy- Scriptures and Spanish. I recently saw a music video that my older sister's friend had made to her original song. It was really good! Kudos! I actually don't know exactly the meaning of the term 'kudos' even though I use it and hear it avidly. Hmmm... Urban Dictionary or Wikipedia?
Ahh Urban Dictionary won it out:
To gain kudos is to earn respect and recognition.

Well yes, that seems right! Caitlin I give you respect and recognition in your music video/original song!!
Yay!! It fits! Too many exclamation points!

*Ahem* Recently I was on my Facebook account- yes I use Facebook, if you have a blog it'd be odd if you did not also you Facebook -and I was really bored because I arrived home early and no one was online, soooo I decided to update my 'about me' in my information thingy on Facebook. Here goes, I thought it was interesting:

I am claustrophobic. I have OCD. I am random. I love my friends. I love music. I love to play music. I love to listen to music. Face it- I love music. I love acting. I love writing letters. I love receiving letters. I love my roof. I love my cats & dog. I love my family. I love water. I love nature. I love you. I love me. I love when stereotypes are broken. I love eyes (they are cool up close!). I love to read. I love to write. I love photography. I wish I had a better camera. I love to learn. I love being a redhead. I love traveling. I love Europe. I love Maryland. I love D.C. I love peace. I love animals. I love culture. I love different accents. I love painting. I love art. I love uniqueness. I love football. I love the Washington Redskins. I love fire. I love snow. I love rain. I love windows. I love the moon. I love to swim. I love psychology. I love organization. I love wood. I love diversity. I love drawing.

Thank you! Yes that was random but I was bored. And now a snippet from a very enjoyable song that is too long to post because it is nine minutes of amazingness!

Konstantine by Something Corporate

I can't imagine all the people that you know
And the places that you go
When the lights are turned down low
And I don't understand
All the things you've seen
But I'm slipping in between
You and your big... dreams
it's always you in my big dreams

And you tell me
That it's over
Wake up lying in a patch of four leaf clover
And you're restless
And I'm naked
You've got to get out
You can't stand to see me shaking
no, could you let me go
I didn't think so

and you don't want to be here in the future
So you say
the present's just a pleasant
Interruption to the past
And you don't want to look much closer
'Cause you're afraid to find out all this hope
You had sent into the sky by now had... crashed
and it did because of me

And then you bring me home
Afraid to find out that you're alone, no
And I'm sleeping in your living room
But we don't have much room
To live

(ah what the hell, here's the whole song!)

I had these dreams, in them I learned to play guitar
Maybe cross the country
Become a rockstar
And there was hope in me
That I could take you there
But damn it you're so young
But I don't think I care
and if I hurt you then i'm sorry
please don't think that this was easy

And then you bring me home
'Cause we both know what it's like to be alone, no
And I'm dreaming in your living room
But we don't have much room
To live

And Konstantine is walking down the stairs
Doesn't she look good
Standing in her underwear?
And I was thinking, what I was thinking
But we've been drinking
And it doesn't get me anywhere

My Konstantine came walking down the stairs
And all that I could do
Was touch her long blonde hair
And I've been thinking
It hurts me thinking
That these nights when we were drinking
No they never got us anywhere, no

This is because I can spell konfusion with a K
And I can like it
It's to dying in anothers arms
and why i had to try it
It's to jimmy eat world
and those nights in my car
when the first star you see
may not be a star
I'm not your star
Isn't that what you said?
what you thought this song meant

And if this is what it takes
just to lie with my mistakes
and live with what I did to you
All the hell I put you through
I always catch the clock it's 11:11
And now you want to talk
it's not hard to dream
You'll always be my Konstantine
My Konstantine

They'll never hurt you like I do
No, They'll never hurt you like I do
No, No, No, No, No, No, No

This is to a girl who got into my head
with all the pretty things she did
Hey, You know, you keep me up in bed
This is to a girl who got into my head
with all these fucked up things I did
Hey maybe baby, you could keep me up in bed
My Konstantine

Spin around me like a dream
We played out on this movie screen
And I said,
Did you know I miss you
Did you know I miss you
Did you know I miss you

I miss you

And then you bring me home
And we'll go to sleep but this time not alone, no No,
And then you'll kiss me in your living room, oh
I know you miss me in your living room
Cause these nights I think maybe that I miss you in my living room
We don't have much room
I said, does anybody need that room?
Because we all need a little more room
To live

...My Konstantine.

-x-x-x-

Hello!
If you were wondering why those last sentences were in French, it is because I took French since I was six so I am basically fluent- though my computer has no French accents. sorry! Now for the translation and more stuffies!

Today was my Algebra exam. It was easy except for a few questions that were on percentages (%) and some word problems. But, all the others were very easy & I left the exam room with a half hour left. Yes! I was very happy to come home at 10 o'clock in the morning! A whole day for me do to whatever I wanted, but of course, it wasn't that great. I was cold and hungry a lot today. But apart from those small bad things, it was a good day!

Yeah, that basically sums up the past six or so hours. Tomorrow I have two exams so I will not arrive home as early as I did today.

I was just thinking about emulsifiers. In my Biology class I learned about emulsification and I was just thinking about it when I was washing olive oil off my hands because I was baking bread. But the soap I used had a polar and non-polar ends which surround the lipids and take it away from my hands. A useful little tid-bit of science!

Later, much love!!

Good Morning Sun!

Yesterday was amazing in football terms but horrible in accidents. It was sleeting outside and I wanted to see what my brother & father were doing in the garage so I went out with an umbrella. But unfortunately for me, I didn't notice that the umbrella was broken, so when I went to open it three of the cold, metal spokes shot out and sliced three gashes through my fingers- ouchie! Then, after the Ravens vs. Titans game (great job Ravens!) I was looking for my mother's earring on the floor when my kitten, Miley, landed on my head/neck area. That was fine because she does that a lot, but after I had found the earring, Miley decided to jump off my head and she caught my ear with her claws leaving a gash in the spot where my ear and head connect. That was pleasant. That was yesterday, but today, my fingers & ear still hurt.
My brother built a room in our garage that he is going to move into pretty soon, so I am going to move into his previous room. So we've been getting ready to move him out & me in, but I am going to miss my old room when I move into my brother's old room. But on the bright side- I get to paint the walls!! Yay! I'm looking for a color that I think would be good, but I'm still flipping through paint samples. So that has been my life so far, and I can not wait for the two games tonight, they should be good. However, my eldest sister is going back to her college today so I get to straighten up my room- well I would be able to but my dad and brother are taking out my carpet so yah. A song that should be listened to is Still Fighting It by Ben Folds, so here are the first two verses!:

Good morning, son.
I am a bird
Wearing a brown polyester shirt
You want a coke?
Maybe some fries?
The roast beef combos only $9.95
Its okay, you dont have to pay
Ive got all the change

Everybody knows
It hurts to grow up
And everybody does
Its so weird to be back here
Let me tell you what
The years go on and
Were still fighting it, were still fighting it
And youre so much like me
Im sorry

Long Day

Well I had a long day at school. It was normal and then we had play practice from 3:20ish to 4:30ish and that was fun. But the reason why the day was so long was because I didn't leave till like 6:15. Anyways I'm bored and I don't really feel like typing a blog cause I know I've got some homework to do and skitt. So I'm gonna just say:

Much love and thanks for reading!

Music Rant / Smilin'

Today was a basic day of preparation for our exams which will be on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Good luck me! So today was also mostly a smiling day because we weren't as tired as we were yesterday so we all appreciated seeing our friends once more. Again this is a very basic and boring blog post so bear with me while these boring days pass. Anyways I was looking for a song that was titled Smiling or Smilin' because that is how I felt today was like. So here goes, however it is merely a sample as I didn't really like the lyrics. Give it up for Tim McGraw's Smiling:

The cover of a magazine, nothing but a paper dream
Just another fantasy for sale
Telling me what I need, what I should do, who I should be
That stuff dont matter to me at all

*Ahem* Hope you enjoyed that! As a side and perhaps final note - as I happen to have not done my homework yet - I am learning to play Bella's Lullaby from the popular movie Twilight. Mainly I am learning it because/for my sister but I am really enjoying it. The tune is gorgeous and the melody is fairly simple to play, not that many accidentals - THANK GOD! - because most songs from plays or movies that I play seem to have SO MANY FREAKING ACCIDENTALS and then my music is all marked up by my pencils and then sometimes I can't read it because of all the notes. Anyways basically if you read this you will understand that I enjoy playing music. Today I brought my music (that is, Bella's Lullaby) to play with my friend, Phy-Phy, because we both adore music - she play's clarinet dominantly and I play piano & violin - and we play different stuff together a lot. However today when we went to go play in the practice rooms at our school - or as we happen to call them the llama rooms - we both knew we were going to leave earlier than usual so we used the only non-used llama room. The llama room with The Horrid Piano. I am not joking when I call it horrid. Most of the keys past middle C stick! It is positively annoying when you are trying to play a really gorgeous piece and you start to play the upper hand melody and the keys are sticking all over the place and you can't tell if you are holding down the damper pedal (the one that makes the notes continue while you play on) or not! So annoying. Here's a definition of damper pedal by Mr. Wiki, my best friend!

The sustaining pedal is often called "the soul of the piano". The right pedal on the modern piano, it raises all the dampers off the strings so that they can continue to vibrate and sound after a note on the keyboard has been released. This pedal adds much expressiveness to piano music, allowing notes to resonate, and certain harmonies and notes to be connected together.

Enjoyed that? So did I! Anywhoo, thank you for not rolling your eyes at my rant, but that was very important for me to get out in the open. Or on the World Wide Webby.
So yes. I shall return anon - tomorrow hopefully.

Much love and thanks for reading,

Grace

Back in School

Well today I was back in school. Yippee. Another wonderful happening was today was our first rehearsal for my school play! Basically we sat in a circle and did a script reading. It was nice to hear the voices inhabit the roles of the characters since I had only been practicing the play by myself. By the by, if anyone is interested, the play we will be bringing to life is Reviving Ophelia based off of the non-fiction book && I happen to be playing Ophelia. Yay me! Anyways updates will be few and far because nothing interesting ever happens when I am at school for like 6+ hours a day and come home to do homework. This post may be rare- sell it on eBay in 20-60 years and you shall make a fortune!! No I'm sorry that this has been a boring blog posteh. Hopefully much more interesting posts will be revealed in later days.

That's all for now! Thank you and much love,
Grace

And of course- here's a little song for today that most people are familiar with because it was on an apple commercial- it is a happy song. Now, Bruises by Chairlift:

I tried to do handstands for you
I tried to do headstands for you
Everytime I fell on you, yeah, everytime I fell
I tried to do handstands for you
But everytime I fell for you
I'm permanently black and blue, permanently blue for you.

I tried to do handstands for you
I tried to do handstands for you
Everytime I fell on you, yeah, everytime I fell
I tried to do handstands but everytime I fell for you
I'm permanently black and blue, permanently blue for you-ooh-ooh-ooh

For you-ooh-ooh-ooh
So black and blue-ooh-ooh-ooh
For you-ooh-ooh-ooh.

I grabbed some frozen strawberries so I could ice your bruising knees
But frozen things they all unfreeze and now I taste like....
All those frozen strawberries I used to chill your bruising knees,
Hot July ain't good to me
I'm pink and black and blue for you.

I got bruises on my knees for you
And grass stains on my knees for you
Got holes in my new jeans for you
Got pink and black and blue

Got bruises on my knees for you
And grass stains on my knees for you
Got holes in my new jeans for you
Got pink and black and blue for you-ooh-ooh-ooh

For you-ooh-ooh-ooh
So black and blue-ooh-ooh-ooh
For you-ooh-ooh-ooh

Last Day

Well this is the last day of winter break and I am really not looking forward to going back to school on Monday. I woke up at 6:30 this morning because I am re-adjusting to school life so I won't be a dead-beat zombie tomorrow. I was thinking, while I sipped my delicious Simply Lemonade around 7 o'clock, that music has such an amazing influence on our decisions in life. I am completely aware that I personally listen to music pretty much 24/7 - except of course at school and when people are talking to me - but I think that if humans hadn't created music however long ago that they did, I think the world would be a much less wonderful place. Think of the blind people who can not see beauty, but if they listen to music, it is such a pleasure. That is why I enjoy web sites that allow you to listen to free music such as Pandora.com! Anyways, going to my ever favorite Wikipedia to find out about things, I learned that "the development of music among humans must have taken place against the backdrop of natural sounds such as birdsong and the sounds other animals use to communicate." But that is Mr. Wikipedia's assumption seeing that he said "must". Also, apparently flutes were some of the first instruments. Isn't that fascinating?

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer? - The Killers "Human" <-- Listen to this song <3

Fly Away to Italy

This morning I was awake for maybe 10 minutes around 6 o'clock and I sat up and looked out the window, strangely compelled to do so. I saw a gorgeous sunrise that I think was some type of meaningful sign. Who knows why I woke up and knew to look out the window? I could have just slept past that beauty. My sister woke me up around 8:30 anyways, but for some reason I had the need to wake up and see that beautiful sunrise.

My dear acquaintance, it's so good to know you
For strength of your hand
That is loving and giving
And a happy new year
With love overflowing
With joy in our hearts
For the blessed new year

That is a nice verse from Regina Spektor's My Dear Acquaintance (A Happy New Year) espescially since it is only the third day of the new year of 2009! One of my sisters, Bridget, is going off to Italy today at 4 pm. I hope you have an amazing trip to Italy and have fun there Bee! Ahem, anyways. I was thinking since this is the second to last day of my winter break- my school starts up again on Monday, I thought that I shoud do something fun with the rest of the break. Perhaps maybe enjoying some music or going out with friends. I think that we should take Ms. Spektor's song to mind as this new year has approached us. We really should have a happy new year- even when the new year becomes an old year, like in October or something, we should always live in the perspective of having ourselves a happy new year.

So, in conclusion I think this blog can be likened to a sort of persuasive letter or something? Anyways, basically we should all enjoy the year whether the year is old or new or in between. Good luck on your Study Abroad in Italy Bridget!

Much love!

What is it to blog?

I've been wondering what in the world a blog was. So in my curiosity, I decided to research as to what the Internet definition of a blog and to blog was.
Here's a good definition that I found on the ever lovable Wikipedia:

A blog (a contraction of the term "Web log") is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

So, why do people blog? Well, an obvious reason would be that they enjoy it but could it be that the bloggers would like to tell the world wide web all about their lives?
Probably. Am I doing the same exact thing as millions upon millions do every day? Maybe. Probably, actually.
Anyways, as this amazing post, er rather, blog is coming to its end, I think I song should do it well. Here is Katy Rose's

"Original Skin"

You hold me like a puppet in your clammy hands
Breathing your soft inuendoes
I can feel the music through your eyes
So much pain it hurts my soul

Take me where oleander grow
Show me all the things that I don't know

I'm outside
Let me in
I'm still shedding my original skin
Show me where I've never been
I'm still shedding my original skin

I am not afraid all I have to fear is myself
Me or I
My curls have twisted themselves into knots

Twist and turn me inside out
Show me what bliss is about

I'm outside
Let me in
I'm still shedding my original skin
Show me where I've never been
I'm still shedding my original skin

If I wait to run away
I'll be trapped another day

I'm still shedding my original skin
Show me where I've never been
I'm still shedding my original skin

Lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala
